Publicity Specialist … Are You Ready?

Friday, November 27th, 2009

HotSkillsVATraining.com is super
excited to announce the newest addition to our curriculum!Publicity — one of those things that every business owners but not every business gets.

Why?

Because it takes time to  develop, implement and actively work on  … plus very few know how to do it properly.

But … what if YOU, the Publicity Specialist VA could help?  What if you could:

  • write and distribute press releases and articles on behalf of your client?
  • prepare an outstanding media kid and proposal?
  • pitch to the media effectively and gain exposure in newspapers, TV and radio?

There are so few VAs who specialize in this area … any VA who can confidently manage these tasks will be an instant magnet to business owners.

We’re putting finishing touches to this program as we speak but we do know it will start on Monday, January 18th and take place on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Visit the link below and let us know if you’re interested and we’ll let you know as soon as registration is open (you may even get a little deal when we do open
registration!).

The Future of Virtual Assistance … The Multi-VA Business Model

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

2009 has seen an incredible number of solo-VA businesses turn into multi-VA businesses.
This can only mean one thing — the VA industry is booming, getting more recognition (that it deserves) and more business owners are seeking the help of a virtual professional.

As a solo-VA business, you may reach the ‘bursting point’ where you’re forced to make a tough decision in order to manage your workload and business … terminate client relationships or bring someone on board to assist you.

Have you thought about creating a multi-VA business?

We’re calling Virtual Assistants to join us on November 18th at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern  for an open discussion and group brainstorming session on the “Multi-VA Business Model”

What are the pros of creating a multi-VA business?  What are the cons?  For some it’s an obvious step in the
growth of their business.  For others, they have no idea what’s really involved.    Is it right for you?

Listen in below to the call we had on this topic.

How to Know Who NOT To Hire — Hot Skills Business Building Series

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

The goal for Virtual Assistants is to build a great business, with great clients and great revenue — right?

In some cases, we’re so focussed on attracting new clients and supporting them that we don’t consider that there are clients we should NOT be hiring.

For years, the team here at VirtuallySuccessful.com has spoken with Virtual Assistants about how to attract great clients — essentially, how to decide on a target market and pick the ideal client you would like to work with. It’s our own business so we should be working with the people we love to work with …. right?

Unfortunately so many of us in this great community are choosing to work with the wrong clients … clients who make us miserable, don’t pay the bills, demand too much and ultimately exhaust us.

Knowing how to recognize these ‘wrong’ clients is almost more

important than knowing how to find the right clients!

We want to help Virtual Assistants work with the best clients out there - ones that are respectful, pay their bills, appreciate and ultimately, treat you like a valued member of the team. And to be able to say ‘no thanks’ to the rest.

So how do you know which clients should you NOT hire?

Join Tina and Cindy on Thursday, October 8th as they share:

  • What YOU should know about your potential client before you even speak with them
  • 5 questions your prospective client must have the answer to before you even consider working with them
  • 3 questions you need to ask yourself before you accept a new client
  • The top 5 warning flags to watch out for when considering a new client

Sign up for this 60 minute session, for only $27 and you will receive:

  • Access to the live call
  • Notes
  • An MP3 recording of the call

Stop working with the clients who really don’t deserve you and start working with the clients who will respect you, cherish you and appreciate you.

A Closed Door for Us = More Clients for You!

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

As you may know, earlier this year we made some changes to our virtual assistant service at MultipleStreamsTeam.com. Since 2005 we had been providing top-notch support services to business owners creating their own multiple streams based business, as based on the model originally taught by Andrea J. Lee in her book Multiple Streams of Coaching Income.

After taking a look at the changes in the marketplace and how we ourselves could do our best work in this industry, this past spring we decided to close the Multiple Streams Team in order to be able to pursue other projects (such as this very ezine!)

But the thing is - after years of talking about the Multiple Streams Team and promoting it via various channels and partners, we still have LOTS of traffic coming to this site - business owners looking for help - and since we are no longer offering these services ourselves all of this traffic is essentially going to waste.

Now you know us… when we see an opportunity like this we have to ask ourselves -

“What can we do here to connect these business owners the help they need?”

The answer was quite simple really…

We’ve decided to revise the MultipleStreamsTeam.com site and are in the process of updating it to become a simple ‘job posting’ system. We are creating a new request for proposal (RFP) system for business owners to post their needs, which we will then be sent out to our list of fabulous VAs who are looking for clients.

Care to join our list and get sent real hiring
opportunities as they arise?

This is a free service for both business owners and virtual assistants - there is no cost to join. We simply want to provide a way to connect you with the business owners that are coming to the site looking for support.

>> Click here to join the VA job notification list… and spread the word to other VAs who may want to join.

Note that as of the time of sending you won’t see these changes reflected yet on the homepage at www.multiplestreamsteam.com. We are working on revising the site and expect to officially ‘go live’ next week… but in the meantime we wanted to give you a sneak peek and the opportunity to get on the VA list early.

Have you ever wondered if you could make money beyond the 1-1 model of working with your clients?

While it’s true that the 1-1 model of working for individual clients are often the main stream of revenue for Virtual Assistants, it doesn’t have to be the only way. As always, we’re looking forward to a lively discussion!

*NEW* Customized VA Coaching by Virtually Successful

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Could you use a little boost in the right direction? Would you like VA specific support for YOUR own questions and YOUR own circumstance?

After much encouragement from us, and many requests from Virtual Assistants, Cindy Greenway is now offering 1-1 personal coaching support services.

I started working with Cindy over two and a half years ago. The mentoring I’ve received from her is invaluable as I continue to work as a Virtual Assistant and build my business.

She has helped me tremendously with focusing on having a ‘Business Mindset’ with my clients. She’s really encouraged me to be proactive in moving forward instead of ‘waiting’ to see what I can help my clients with. She has a great way of pushing me in a positive way so I can achive my goals.

Thanks for all your help, Cindy!
~ Rhonda Embry, Virtual Assistant

For years Cindy has supported Virtual Assistants learning new skills and technology, finding new clients and retaining clients. If you’ve been on any calls with Cindy, you’ll know that she is passionate about the VA industry and anything that is associated to it.

Starting July 2nd, Cindy is making more room in her schedule to support a small number of Virtual Assistants who really want to not just reach, but surpass their goals. Want more clients? Looking to explore your business growth options? Wondering if you should specialize or create a multi-va business?Cindy Greenway

Her no-nonsense approach will help you accountable to your priorities and the growth of your VA business, while managing better balance, all at the same time.

Ready to take your business up a notch (and then some)?

Cindy is offering a 60-minute ‘anything goes’ Business Boosting Session for the very special rate of $97 (regular price for these sessions is $197). She has room for only 9 sessions in her calendar this month - and after those are booked this special offer will be complete.

VA Certification - Necessity or Not?

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

It’s time to reconnect with the community to hold the second Future of Virtual Assistance call to discuss another hot topic.

The conversation around VA Certification has been brewing for years - there have been discussions at VA Conferences, on message boards, within private groups and associations - with no general agreement yet on the subject.

Will a certified VA be more successful than a non-certified VA? Will the business owners we support find value in having a certified VA?

If you’ve been a VA for years, should you consider this? If you’re new to the VA world, is it one more thing to look into?

Sign up below for the call on Tuesday, July 28th at Noon Pacific (3pm Eastern) - we look forward to a juice and sure to be thought-provoking call!

Retaining clients, a quick tip….

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

It’s one thing to find a new client, it’s another thing to keep them right?

This may be familiar scenario - you find a potential new client, make a great connection, they sign up to work with you, and after a project or two the works dries up … and you are basically left at square one looking for another new client. Very frustrating! And an all too common story …

One tip for retaining clients is to find something you can do for them on an ongoing basis - instead of one-time tasks or projects, look for areas in your clients business that require someone to ‘do the work’ each month.

A great example is a membership program … many online business owners either a) have a membership program already or b) would love to set one up.

If they don’t have one already they will need help getting one setup of course, but that is only half the battle. Once the membership program is setup, they will need someone to manage it each month. This is where many membership programs fall apart - they don’t have a VA in place as Membership Manager to ensure that the membership is taken care of each month (new classes, new contact, etc.).

Without this the membership will fall flat, members will cancel and it can even get to the point where the membership is cancelled all together. Not what the business owner was hoping for of course!

Enter you, the super-star VA who is ready, willing and able to take on the role of Membership Manager. With your help, members are getting great content, support and value each month in the membership, which results in:

  • Happy members who stay in the membership
  • Happy business owner who has a thriving membership
  • Happy VA who has ongoing retainer based work as a Membership Manager

Be it as a Membership Manager or otherwise, we encourage you to look for ways to provide ongoing support to your clients. You may need to put your marketing mindset to work here a bit, don’t be afraid to make suggestions to your client and explore areas that they may not have considered yet.

And if you are interested in providing Membership Management services, we have a brand new program that starts on Monday…

## Membership Management for VAs - starts June 8th ##
http://www.HotSkillsVATraining.com/membership

This program will teach you everything from how to set-up a new membership site for your clients using Wishlist Member (THE tool to use for membership sites) to how to manage their membership program ongoing .. a double whammy skillset for your VA biz!

Super hot stuff - we start on Monday, join us?

Would You Like to Find 3 New Clients In The Next 30 Days?

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

A 30 day Program for Virtual Assistants who are serious about investing in themselves and finding *good* paying clients eager to hire.It is the question we hear most often from VAs:

Where do I find Clients?

One of the biggest challenges that VAs face in finding clients is that they don’t know where to start or what to do. When they consider everything that could be done to secure new clients it becomes overwhelming and confusing… to the point where many VAs become frustrated and stuck, to the detriment of their business success AND their own happiness.

The key is to take it step-by-step

Commit to taking one ’small’ step each day in your business building activities - then before you know it you will be where you want to be. The 3 Clients in 30 Days Challenge will give you a specific action step each day for 30 days, that when implemented will move you towards (finally?) finding the clients you’ve been seeking.

Sound like fun? >> Click here to learn more and register
Oh, and yes… there will be prizes. Weekly prizes plus a Grand Prize for the person who adds the most new clients to their business during the challenge. Join us won’t you?
